About the Fellowship role
The Jr. Associate – Monitoring, Evaluation & Implementation supports evidence-based program delivery at The Antara Foundation by strengthening monitoring systems and enabling data-driven decision-making. Working closely with the M&E and program teams, the role contributes to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of monitoring frameworks for maternal and child health interventions. Key responsibilities include supporting data collection, management, analysis, and quality assurance across programs. The Jr. Associate collaborates with program teams to embed monitoring tools within field operations, providing capacity building, handholding, and troubleshooting support to ensure effective implementation. The role also involves analysing qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable insights that inform program improvements. This role is well-suited for an analytically strong, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is committed to improving public health outcomes at scale.
Location: In person – Delhi, India, with travel to intervention districts as required

Key responsibilities
- Implementation of monitoring systems – development of methods and tools, administration of existing or developed tools, supporting teams in implementation of the system in terms of capacity building, handholding, and troubleshooting.
- Data collection, data management, data analysis and quality assurance during the process.
- Coordinate closely with program officers to build monitoring systems and ensure quality delivery of the program.
- Conduct analysis on qualitative and quantitative data, providing actionable insights to the program implementation team.
- Create presentations that tell a compelling story and spur actionable insights for senior team.
- Experiment & Innovate: As a part of the M&E team, constantly innovate our methods and approaches.
- Help data go further: Develop ideas on how we can help data become more actionable, through effective communications, stronger links to business strategy, and staff engagement.
- Partnership Development: Support the senior-management in working with external partners.
- Manage multiple projects/work-streams, ensuring high quality output, and timely delivery –contributing directly to the achievement of our organizational goals.
- Prepare periodic internal and donor mandated progress reports.
- Communication and coordination internally within the team.
- Partake in program and intervention evaluation studies with descriptive and statistical analysis of program activity data correlating with impact indicators
- Contribute to Knowledge management activities like researching on M&E tools and methods, writing blogs/ think pieces on application of tools and methods, organizational learning, and organizational development work.
- Perform any other task as and when assigned by the organization
Requirements
Experience and education:
- A recognized undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline. Master’s in Social Work (MSW) / Business Administration (MBA) / Statistics / Rural Marketing is preferable
- At least 2 years work experience in monitoring and evaluation of programs. Experience in Maternal & Child Health and/or nutrition would be preferable
- Curiosity and coachability; someone who is self-motivated, hungry to learn, and has a growth mindset
- Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; ability to prioritize and multitask
- Experience working with the community specially with the tribes will be given preference
- Experience analyzing qualitative or quantitative data, and synthesizing information
- Experience in designing and implementing evaluations or research projects in maternal and child health would be preferred
- Ability to present information in a structured and insightful manner
- Superior detail orientation
- Understanding of various government data portals, particularly in public health and nutrition domain
- Excellent skills in oral and written communications
- Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment, with demonstrated leadership, communication, networking, and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to translate complex systems and concepts into easy-to-understand pieces
- Demonstrated interest in or commitment to tackling global development challenges
Technical skills:
- Setting up and managing data collection and aggregation tools, designing data-linked reports and summary dashboards. Experience on monitoring and reporting tools such as Google Sheets, ODK, Power BI, Google Data Studio and on statistical packages such as SPSS, SAS, PSPP is preferred
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation approaches; Specific knowledge of result- based management system/ approaches like logical framework, logic model, Outcome Mapping (OM), Theory of Change (ToC), Social Frameworks, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), Impact evaluation, Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs), Process evaluation,
- Implementation research methods would be desirable.
- In addition, the incumbent is expected to know basics of data collection, database management, data analysis and report writing.
