About the portfolio organization

Noora Health’s mission is to improve outcomes and strengthen health systems by equipping family caregivers with the skills they need to care for their loved ones. Founded in 2014, Noora Health turns hospital hallways and waiting rooms into classrooms by tapping into the most compassionate resources available for the patient’s care: their own family.

With support from governments and partners in India, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, Noora Health has trained more than 24 million caregivers and patients across 12,000+ facilities using their flagship caregiver education and training curriculum, the Care Companion Program (CCP). In a cohort of patients, the CCP reduced post-surgical cardiac complications by 71%, maternal complications by 12%, newborn complications by 16%, and newborn readmissions by 56%.

Noora Health was honoured as a TED 2022 Audacious Project Grantee and recipient of the 2022 Skoll Foundation Award for Social Innovation. Featuring Edith Elliott and Shahed Alam, our Co-Founders and Co-CEOs, Noora Health’s mission took the spotlight at TED 2022 and was also featured in a 2022 Skoll video.

About the Fellowship role

Noora Health has been on a rapid scaling journey since our founding in 2014. As our programs and ambitions have grown, with the near-term goal of reaching more than 70 million caregivers across four countries by 2028 and longer-term goal of establishing caregiving training and support as the standard of care globally, so have our organizational expenses. We are seeking a detail oriented financial professional to support our global finance team in transitioning from Quickbooks to Zoho. Additionally, this role will help us identify a software solution that enables all countries to upload their monthly financial data, facilitating real-time expense tracking across countries. By improving visibility into financial trends, we aim to implement timely, data-driven solutions that enhance financial management and decision-making. This candidate will help us evaluate financial models to drive cost-effectiveness and sustainability. This position will work in close collaboration with our Finance and Legal teams, as well as with various leadership across the organisation.

If you are passionate about driving financial efficiency and leveraging technology for strategic financial decision-making, we’d love to hear from you!
