About the role
Fellowship location: Nairobi, Kenya
Employment: Full-time
Starting Date: November/December 2024
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the LGT VP team and external partners to manage the full program cycle of the LGT Impact Fellowship, including marketing and communications, program design and development, stakeholder management, recruitment, logistics, events management, etc.
- Manage the extensive yearly recruitment process end-to-end and act as a competent point of contact for participating portfolio organizations and candidates
- Host information webinars during the recruitment phase
- Manage the fellowship cohort, incl. organizing and facilitating quarterly update calls, support and coach fellows, organize training webinars, etc.
- Organize and facilitate the yearly 1-week kick-off workshop in Kenya or Switzerland - a core element of the program - bringing together all fellows of each annual cohort from across the globe
- Build fellowship program capabilities and organizational learning: improve management systems, performance monitoring, implement process improvements, etc.
- Manage Fellowship alumni relations and develop online/offline alumni outreach channels (alumni mailing list, alumni gatherings, LinkedIn group, etc.)
- Oversee all budgets and financials of the fellowship program
- Complete all status reports for the LGT VP board
Requirements
- Mid-level professional with 4-8 years of HR, consulting, project management or program management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area; MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field preferred
- People oriented with a strong drive towards empowering passionate professionals to work in purposeful organizations
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels as well as possess strong mentoring and guidance skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; with an ability to formulate and present analysis and arguments in a clear, crisp and concise manner
- Results-driven, detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, willing to work independently with limited supervision and take responsibility for own actions
- Experience working in an international environment with strong cultural sensitivity
- Flexibility, open-mindedness and the ability to deal with ambiguity, unforeseeable events and changing environment
- Fluency in English
- Versed with Microsoft Office package, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Nice to have, but not mandatory: experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ideally Rexx Systems)
- Must have: valid work permit to work in Kenya
