About the Fellowship role
Fellowship location: New Delhi, India
Employment: Full-time, one-year Fellowship
Starting Date: July 2025
Key responsibilities
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
- Develop and implement custom data models and algorithms to drive insights.
- Create data visualizations using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor model performance and data accuracy.
- Design and implement data architectures and models for handling large-scale datasets (terabytes).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage data for business solutions.
- Generate business requirements based on data analysis for process improvements.
Requirements
- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Alternatively, MCA or M.Tech in relevant fields.
- 10-15 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, and visualization and a strong background in AI/ML and Big Data technologies.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist with expertise in data engineering, business analytics, data visualization, AI/ML.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience working with Big Data technologies and handling large datasets (terabytes).
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and BigQuery.
- Familiarity with data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms like AWS (Redshift, S3).
- Understanding of machine learning models, generative AI, and operations research.
- Experience designing and implementing data architectures and data models.
- Knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra).
- Strong analytical mindset and business acumen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must Haves:
- Hands-on experience analysing large databases (terabytes).
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Big Query.
- Basic knowledge of AI/ML models and Generative AI.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal) for effective communication and collaboration.
- Indian work permit or authorisation to work in India is required.
